15/12/18 - Afire on Ice

Start off slow,

Step, 

Glide, 

Wobble, wobble,

Fall.

Get back up.

Try again,

Reach further,

Move faster,

Arms pushing,

Add grace,

And...

Fall.

Again.

But I get back up,

And keep on trying.

Breathe the cold,

And throw my heat.

We push on,

We race around,

Eyes gleam,

Faces beam.

Elegantly falling,

And heartily flying.

Souls on fire,

Ablaze on ice.

When off the ice,

With blistered feet,

And blanket bruised,

We sit,

And eyes meet...

And smile.
