19/12/18 - John 8:12

As I walk through the darkness,
In the jungle of life:
I trip and I fall,
For no torch have I.

Alone and afraid,
Trembling,
Down on my knees.
Sniffling tears,
Red eyes
And shivering there.

Then a Light I see,
Toward me coming.
Stoops down and smiles
And holds out His hand.

He leads me on,
Through the jungle’s thick branches.
He points out the hazards
And keeps me safe.

Oh what a comfort,
A dearly held warmth,
To have the Light Himself,
Walking before me.
