01/02/19 - The Perfect Date

When asked about the ideal date,

Most girls would answer right away:

The movies,

A cafe,

Win a toy at the show.

Spend some money,

“Oh and honey,

Don’t forget he'll pay.”

Me, however,

I’m old-fashioned.

A gentleman that would sit down with my family,

And get to know them,

Is all I’d ask for. 

He who would approach my Dad squarely,

And ask to hold my hand;

Ask to take me out;

And what time he wants me home.

Someone with respect.

Someone who,

With patience,

Would take it slow with me.

If I could have someone like that,

Then, to me,

He IS the perfect date.
