23/10/19 - I was born for sunshine and for rain

I was born for sunshine and for rain,
To walk amidst the forest’s frame.
I was born to gaze at starlit night,
And wander shorelines in early light.

I was born for sunshine and for rain.
To cry, at times, when strength may wane.
I was born to worry o’er the tearing wind,
When all alone and the dark caves in.

I was born for sunshine and for rain.
Again, through Christ’s great Love and name.
I was born to walk through floods and flame.
I was born, giv’n peace, e’en through the pain.

What frightful times are these to come,
But hope still reigns, ‘til His Kingdom come.
So when time comes for me fly,
I’ll know I was born to my home on high.
